Fiji Airport Sightseeing

There are a number of interesting places to go and things to do when visiting Nadi. Whether you are staying just a day at one of the Nadi airport hotels, or are in Nadi for a longer time, below are some of the top Nadi places of interest.

• The colourful Sri Siva Subramaniya Hindu Temple in Nadi offers good photo opportunities. (pictured at top). It is located at the end of the main street in Nadi town.
• Browse along the main street in Nadi Town, which offers cafes, small shops, larger stores, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and gift shops. There is also a handicraft market and produce market on certain days.
• The Gardens of the Sleeping Giant is a delightful tropical reserve displaying a range of beautiful orchids, many indigenous to Fiji. Walk through the landscaped gardens to view many tropical plants and Fijian palms. The gardens were once privately owned by the actor, the late Raymond Burr. He bequeathed the gardens to Fiji and they are now open to the public.
• Take a taxi down to Denarau Island - a luxury resort destination linked to Nadi by just a short bridge. Have lunch by the beach at one of the many top hotels that include the Sheraton, Hilton, Sofitel and Radisson.
• Or alternatively head for Port Denarau shopping plaza. The centre offers small boutique shops, plus many restaurants and cafes overlooking the marina. Have lunch, a cold beer or tasty icecream while watching the island ferries go in and out of harbour.
• If time permits, take a day cruise to the Mamanucas from Port Denarau.
• Book a game of golf at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.
• Denarau water sports activities and jet boat rides can be found at Port Denarau.
